Detta är en lista över de populäraste hundraserna i olika länder. Listorna bygger på statistik över nyregistrerade valpar och importer som redovisas av de nationella kennelklubbarna. En skillnad mellan olika länders statistik är att vissa kennelklubbar slår samman olika varianter av samma ras, medan andra länder redovisar de olika varianterna separat. Bland raserna på topplistorna gäller detta främst belgisk vallhund, chihuahua, pudel och tax. Beträffande collie och sankt bernhardshund är de korthåriga så ovanliga att det inte skulle göra någon större skillnad att redovisa varianterna tillsammans. Den spanska kennelklubben redovisar korthårig vorsteh och strävhårig vorsteh tillsammans som vorsteh trots att dessa inte är varianter utan skilda raser med olika rasstandard.

Top 10 Most Popular Dog Breeds

The breed is known to be wary with strangers and may not do so well with small children. However, they are generally curious, clever, loyal, and devoted little dogs that are loved by many.
