    In early July last summer, the Rams brought back safety John Johnson III for a third stint with the team. Although other additions had already been made to the secondary, Johnson's return solidified depth for a safety group that also included early free agency signee Kam Curl and third-round draft pick Kam Kinchens, plus returnee and eventual team captain Quentin Lake.

    Although Johnson's return didn't materialize with a starting role right away, he was still effective as a reserve, as evidenced by his interception against the Lions in Week 1. Becoming a starter again the following week, a shoulder injury sustained in that Week 2 game against the Cardinals would effectively sideline him for the remainder of the season. He was activated off of Injured Reserve for the Rams' Wild Card playoff game against the Vikings, but only played four snaps. He was then inactive for the Divisional Round against the Eagles.

    John Johnson III (born månad 19, ) is an American professional footballsafety for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Boston College,[1] and was selected by the Rams in the third round of the NFL draft. He has also played for the Cleveland Browns.

    Early life

    He attended Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, Maryland and played wide receiver and safety for head coach Brian Pierre. Johnson finished his senior year with 50 combined tackles, 13 resehandling deflections, six tackles for a loss, and fem interceptions.

    He was rated as a two-star recruit by sports and Johnson received ten offers in total from Boston College, Lehigh, Bucknell, Buffalo, Duke, UMass, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Towson, and Ohio. On June 1, , Johnson took his only college visit to Boston College and then attended a camp held bygd them in late June where he was said to be very impressive and one of the top performers.[2] Boston College's special teams coordinator and defensive line coach Al Washington recruited him to join their football grupp. On

    John James Johnson (born 16 September ) is an English footballer who plays as a defender. A graduate of the Middlesbrough youth academy, he made his debut for the club against Chelsea. A lack of first team opportunities saw him being loaned to Football League clubs Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town.

    After playing for 83 seasons on loan, Northampton signed Johnson on a permanent basis. He was also given club captainship but was replaced in the role after the arrival of Clarke Carlisle. In the –13 season, his appearances for the club were hindered due to a cartilage injury. Johnson then signed for debutant Bengaluru FC in the I-League in India, managed by his former Northampton Town teammate Ashley Westwood. Johnson, along with Kenyan Curtis Osano, became the first foreigners to play for the club. Despite being an English player, he has spent the majority of his professional career playing for Indian clubs such as Bengaluru FC and ATK, in the I-League and Indian Super League.
